Sacred Heart Church of Bangarpet belong to OMI (The Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate) Congregation founded on January 25, 1816 by Eugene De Mazenod, a french priest later recognized as a catholic saint.
The primary purpose of the Oblates is TO BRING THE GOOD NEWS to “those people whose condition cries out for salvation”.
The Oblates ready to go to the nook and corners of the world to preach the good news to the poor. Their tremendous sacrifice has helped the church for 200 years in the evangelizing human kind. Today the Oblates are working as missionaries around 69 countries involving in various ministries.
